Fighter - Wildshifter

Form of the Dinosaur, by Daarken

The Wildshifter archetype is for fighters who channel the natural world. Not with spells or prayers, but by transforming their own body, assuming aspects of beasts to enhance their prowess in combat.

Wildshifter fighters are versatile and fearsome front-line combatants. They do not fully transform into beasts, as druids do, but instead assume bestial aspects. They may grow brutal claws, springing legs, or the bulk of a great bear.

Design-wise: The Wildshifter's got a lot of options, making for a very flexible front-line combatant. Savage Hunter for damage, Leathered Hide or Heaving Bulk for holding the line, Loping Runner for a skirmisher, or Venomous Spit and Aquatic Adaptation for more specific scenarios. As you level up, your Beast Shape improves, and you gain a few thematic options related to the wilderness theme. At level 18, the Wildshifter can assume all three bestial forms simultaneously, for a truly fearsome fighter.
