The College of the Quiver is a bard devoted to displays of martial skill, an artist of ranged weaponry whose purpose for being is demonstrating their incredible talent.

Quiver bards are arrogant, flashy show-offs who live for archery tournaments, great hunts, and other gratuitous displays of skill. They consider bowmanship (or crossbows, or firearms) as an art on par with any other bardic vocation; a perfectly-aimed arrow is a feat on par with an epic poem. Accordingly, they blend ranged combat into their bardic practice, inspiring and uplifting their allies through archery.

Design-wise: Thrill of the Hunt makes sure you have the most appropriate proficiencies for the subclass, and grants you an expensive-but-situationally-great buff to your tracking attempts. Arrowsong is the subclass's headline feature - three special shots you can use every short rest, enhancing your accuracy, damage, or crit range. And all three options can be buffed with spell slots to produce mini-smites. Ranged Weapon Expert is a small feature, which just makes sure you can build for crossbows or firearms without requiring a feat to make it work. Swift Shot is another big feature - effectively Extra Attack or War Magic, letting you do your other bard stuff while making ranged attacks, but tied to Bardic Inspiration in a way that gives it a natural limit. Merciless Hunt kicks in at high levels to enable some truly devastating ranged damage - it functions similarly to a high-level spell, but avoids some weird interactions by virtue of not being one. And Sure Shot gives you a more reliable and costless boost to go alongside it.
